A rare diamond ring made of diamonds could fetch as much as £1 million after it was sold at auction in the United Kingdom.
The ring was originally found in the Philippines in 2009 and has been on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in London since 2014.
It was sold by a London auction house, Bexleyheath, for a total of £2.3m ($3.4m).
The sale is the biggest single-day sale in the Museum’s history.
A British woman was selling the ring for a whopping £3.2m when she was approached by the seller and asked for her details, the Daily Mail reported.
“It was a pretty cool moment,” a source told the newspaper.
In 2009, the diamond ring was first sold at a Christie’s auction in New York.
It has been displayed at the London Museum since 2014 and was sold for £2,944,000 ($3,900,000) in January this year.
It was initially thought to be worth between £100,000 and £250,000, but now experts say it could be up to £1.5 million ($2.5m).
