India’s biggest beauty brand, Chanel, has launched its first jewellery box in the country and its chief executive said the brand is now India’s most loved, even ahead of the likes of Kora and Sephora.
The Chanel India flagship store in Mumbai, where it has a store number in the north-east of the country, is set to be launched by the brand on September 10.
The first 500 pieces are available for sale on the Chanel website, with the company’s chief executive Nimesh Kumar saying that more than 2,000 people have already applied for the box.
Mr Kumar said that the launch of the jewellery boxes is a direct result of Chanel being the most popular brand in the world.
“The popularity of Chanels jewellery is phenomenal and is on a par with that of Koras and Sepharvastas,” he said.
“We are so happy to have launched this jewellery product for our customers in India.”
We are thrilled that so many people are keen to get their hands on these jewellery items, and this is the first jeweller box in India to be able to offer them,” Mr Kumar added.
Chanel India is the second-largest jewellery brand in South Asia after Kora.
It launched its Indian brand in 2005 and has now expanded to India, Singapore and Malaysia.
